Reed Switches – Door & Window Contacts for Reliable Security

Reed switches are a core alarm sensor used to protect doors and windows. One part of the contact (the switch) is installed on the frame, while the magnet is fitted to the door or window. When the door/window opens, the magnetic field breaks and the system can trigger an alarm.

Choose from flush (recessed) mounted or surface mounted reed switches to suit your door type, frame material and finish requirements.

🧰 Flush mounted (recessed) reed switches

Flush mounted reed switches (also called recessed) are installed inside the door frame for a discreet finish. A hole is drilled into the door jamb and the reed switch is inserted, with the matching magnet fitted into the moving door or window.
